July: Month in Review & Monthly Box Giveaway
posted at Thursday, August 1st, 2013 at 4:00 AM | Month in Review
Announcements:
In case you don’t know, the plan is for A Reader of Fictions to move to WordPress sometime in August, complete with a new shiny design. I have no idea what that will do to my scheduling, so just a warning that it’s coming and to bear with me!
In other news, as of August 4, I’ll have been blogging here for THREE YEARS! I’m not doing an official celebration until I move, and I might still be too lazy, but I’ll probably do some sort of hurrah post on the day. 😀
Books Reviewed in July:
Most of my ratings are really high this month! Yay! Let’s ignore the fact that this stems from the fact that I did unprecedentedly little reading, so I used some of my saved up reviews, which are pretty much all positive. What matters is that there are so many good books!

Awesome giveaway! ^_^ I haven’t read Born of Illusion or Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea..
I’m glad you read so many books you really enjoyed this month. That’s always a good thing, even if there are less books.
Dee @ Dee’s Reads
Well, technically I didn’t read them this month. They’re just ones that posted now, some of which I read earlier. :-p
Omg, this giveaway. :O I will GLADLY take Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea off your hands. I’m sad you didn’t like it, because I’ve heard so many good things and been majorly looking forward to it… it’s nice to see you enjoyed so many of your books this month though!
And you would be WELCOME to it. Everyone else has liked it, I think. It just pushed my buttons.
Happy early blogoversary! Three years is an amazing commitment! 😀
Angie @ Pinkindle Reads & Reviews
Thanks!
*is sad because I rec’d your only one-star book* *doesn’t care because I love it and you and you love me, so whatever*
Woohoo, three years! Now that I think about it, I’ve been blogging for the same amount of time, but my anniversary is September 4th. I hope the transition to WordPress goes well (I’m STILL getting used to it and I don’t even use half of its features) and I’m sure the shiny new design will be very shiny indeed. 😉 Looking forward to it! Now to go play on Cover Snark. My Thursdays aren’t complete without it.
This is true. And I get to meet you in person in September!
Nervous about moving, but I’m tentatively excited. WordPress looks like it makes sense, but I am annoyed by the fact that you need a plugin to have a picture. What the eff is that?
I haven’t read any of these books yet. Hurrah for 3 years! How many books read does that equal?
I can put that in a post, but over 800 reviews. Some of those are graphic novel volumes, though.
Wow!! Almost 3 years!! Awesome!! Congrats babe!!
Thanksssss!
Good books to choose from. Thanks for having this giveaway.
Yay for 3 years blogging. That’s awesome. And thanks, as always, for the giveaway. Can’t wait to see your new blog. Good luck getting everything set up.
Thanks and I do hope it goes smoothly!
Moving to WordPress is so exciting! And blogging for 3 years is triply exciting! Good luck with it all, Christina! 🙂
I can hardly believe it’s been so long!
THREEYEARSTHREEYEARSTHREEYEARS.
Congrats, O dragon-ignorant one ;).
(That was the last of them, I promise.)
STORED REVIEWS? Christ. I’m struggling to keep up, and you’ve got STORED reviews. Also… SO MANY REVIEWS. You and Renae put us all to shame o.O.
Here’s to hoping your reads continue to be positive and I can’t wait to see what your blog design will look like :).
*bows head in shame*
I don’t have a ton of stored reviews, unlike Renae who has months stored and ready to post. I have like 10. I counted and do indeed have precisely 10. How odd.
I CANNOT WAIT EITHER.
OMG! I just read the first chapter of, what I have as, The Beginning of Everything and seeing this makes me realize how fitting this title is! HA! That rollercoaster *shivers*
How much reading did you get done? It still looks like you had a really good month!
Thanks for the chance to win!
