January 2017: Month in Review

What I’ve Been Up To:

It may be clear that I’ve almost entirely abandoned Twitter. I’ll probably be back at some point, but I need the space right now. When I am on Twitter, I’m generally tweeting about my 2017 reads. Inspired by Jessie (Ageless Pages), I created a thread of my reads this year. You can check that out here.

On a related note, because I’m spending almost zero time on social media and I’m massively competitive, I’m reading an unprecedented amount. In January, I read 37 books. Even so, Jessie’s going to surpass me in books read in the next couple days. *shakes fist at shiny-haired nemesis*

As with all the reading, I’ve been seeking comfort, so I’ve just been listening to favorites and not trying out any new music.

Movies & TV:

37 books in a month is a lot even for me. I’m caught up on The 100 finally, but otherwise I’ve basically watched nothing.

Reviews Posted:

The one thing I did do a lot of in January, aside from read, was review.

With a shit ton of reading comes a shit ton of DNFing.

  1. THIRTY. SEVEN. BOOKS. Dang, lady. Too bad about all the DNF’s, but also, good job skipping the stuff you’re just not really into.

What I would give to have your reading speed! I read 7 in January, which is a big deal for me. 🙂

Oh man, The Secret Horses of Briar Hill and Labyrinth Lost are DNFs! I enjoyed those, but it led to way to other books.

I’m glad they worked better for you! There wasn’t anything wrong with either of them, but I wasn’t engaged, so I decided to move on to something else. 😉

Damn it, what I meant to say was “it lead the way to other books for you.”

  5. You and Jesse are my idols. That is a ton of DNFs but it happens. I think I had 5 alone which is kind of high for me. My tolerance for shit books is low, as it should be.

Ahahaha! I love that we are spurring one another on because we are both massively competitive. I can’t deny seeing you still ahead of me has me reaching for a new book instead of Netflix XD

Your gif choice made me literally LOL. I can’t wait to see how this race plays out over the year lol
