Cover Reveal Thursday (2)

Another week of new covers! I didn’t find as many new ones this week, but, hey, I’m not perfect (though I like to pretend). If missed any, let me know and I’ll add them.

Greta and the Goblin King – Chloe Jacobs
Thoughts: Although I like the colors a lot, I’m not in love with this one at all. My main issue is her fur stoll; I’ve always thought fur looked tacky, and only rarely do people pull it off. Note: she is not. The guy is also quite creepy, although he might be a goblin, so maybe that’s okay. *shrugs* I do like the colors.

Two and Twenty Dark Tales:
Dark Retellings of Mother Goose Rhymes

Thoughts: I’m really excited about this one. I love retellings of old stories! The cover I like, but I’m not obsessing over. The names are a bit distracting from the cool images behind, although I do like that they make it very clear that this is an anthology.

Magisterium – Jeff Hirsch

Thoughts: I still haven’t read Hirsch’s The Eleventh Plague, but I added this to the tbr pile, because the cover got me to look at the summary, which sounded promising. I approve of the vibrancy of this cover. It’s not beautiful exactly, but it’s very arresting.

Splintered – A. G. Howard

Thoughts: I love it, even though I’m ever so slightly creeped out by it, which I think is because of her hair covering one eye. Anyway, the colors just pop and it looks so fairy tale-ish!

Best cover of the Week: Splintered by a long shot. For me, at least. Which do you like best?

Aww, thanks! I’m glad you’re glad. Which is entering a dangerous level of repetition. Your novel sounds utterly fabulous, and I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for it!

      Nice meeting you, too!
